Thursday is the day and it happens throughout the day.
I got a VIN at 8:14 this morning. (Yes I was on the F5 button since 8am and saw the update when it happened.)
Oddly if I Google my VIN it's already in the VIN check websites!

Mine showed up today the first time I checked cotus.

I ordered 1/29.

I checked with Rachel and she said my build week will either be the last week in march or the first week in april.

Well this is just depressing. I ordered 2/12 and I was hoping to have my VIN today. I was told 8-12 weeks and that I could bank on it being 8 at the longest. Looks like that doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell.

My official order date was 1/23 and I still haven't heard anything. I heard that convertibles don't show up on cotus. Is there another way I can find out?

I am seriously considering canceling my order and going to a different dealer. I didn't know what the priority code meant until I read another thread, after reading it I realized my dealer assigned a priority code of 80. that dealer really cares about his customers doesn't he?

Took me a little more then 5 weeks to get my VIN with a priority 10. I would guess for anybody who ordered in the first week of Feb it'll probably take another week for a VIN.

Well, it appears to be another week and no VIN for me. I guess should have ordered from a bigger dealership versus local. I guess 8-10 weeks will not happen.

I think theres still hope. Like I said, I ordered on 1/14 got my VIN more then a month later, and my EDD is 3/24 which is just shy of 10 weeks.

I ordered a convertible and it did show up on COTUS. it just took a while. (it seems yours should have shown by now though).


Ordered: yellow eco convert. 201a, premium pkg., 50 yr. pkg.
order placed: 12/17/14
got Vin: early Jan.
Blend (build day): 2/4/15
Awaiting shipment: 2/6/15, (still there)
EDD: 2/24/14 (come and gone, still no car).

There's the www.cotus.ford.com, www.cotusb.ford.com, and wwwqa.cotus.ford.com (for beta and qa). I seem to recall reading somewhere that convertibles show on the cotusb site first, but that may not be accurate anymore.

Back when I was dealer shopping, I made no secret that I would be ordering in February and they all told me that my wait would be greatly increased by ordering then. A few dealers actually offered to order and hold the car until I was ready. Their logic was that many people were coming in looking at the Mustangs on the lot and they all want to order what they want and time it so that it hits when the nice weather breaks. For that reason they told me 12 weeks and don't be upset if it takes a few weeks longer. This all made perfect sense to me and they agreed to write the deal with my trade value at the time of order so any delay comes out on their end.
