We purchased a used16' March of 18'. Took all summer to get to 1100 miles. Will discover this year if it uses any oil, if the rear bumper starts to sag, doesn't have a radio & air so those two can't give any problems. A couple of small items that I think have a "cool" factor to them are the door sill plates & the strut tower brace. They are the same as the 15' 350/R models. 15' production #'s 100- 350's & 37- 350R's. Good luck on acquiring the 16'!

Ford made 5 GT350 variants in MY '16. Base, Track, Tech, Base R and R w/Electronics Packages. On a sales brochure, Ford even labels each version: Base- "Limited Demand Anticipated", Track- "Track Day Specialist", Tech- "Smart, Sophisticated Performer", Base R- "Hardcore Track Use" and R w/Electronics- "Ultimate Street and Track". Of my two '16 MY versions (Tech and R), I've had two oil line cooler recall, timing chain tensioners and oil pan gasket services. Neither burned a notable amount of oil. The Sync system has flaws. Both had/have body/paint flaws that are easily overlooked or unnoticable while driving. The only modification I have made (to my R) is a QA1 carbon fibre drive shaft that eliminated the off-throttle "bucking" associated with the OEM 2-piece unit. Both have been amazing machines at their respective price points. Most people write off S550 GT350s as just another Mustang. People who know about the current GT350/R (and the folks who are worth talking) are enthusiasts, owners or both. Get you that OW!
There're links, including the brochure @Dr. JL references, on the MY 2016 in the GT350 Basics thread in my signature.

Good luck @OxFord6G .

The 15-16 door sills are so much better than the 17+. The strut brace is also nicer but the door sills are night and day difference IMO.
