Man, I feel for you bro. You are getting the short end of the stick from all kinds of sources dealing with your car. Don't answer this, but do you get this type of response from customer service outside of your 'stang?

For a customer service rep to talk to you insinuating because you are overweight they won't help... That is discrimination. Embarrassing for you. I'm pissed off for you. I know I'm not helping here. I think a letter to the owner of the dealership, maybe. Get the guy saying that again on tape. Then you might have something.. Lol. Good luck.
I've had some bad customer service lately, but not all of it has been bad. Steeda has been great, and I'll be doing quite a bit of business with them. When I bought the Tomtop display it had some issues (clock being primary among them) but the seller was happy to work with me and resolved that quickly. I buy a fair amount of stuff online as I rarely have time to shop due to my work schedule and it's easier to have packages delivered (to my work address now) than to go pick them up, and it's been good.

That said, my service adviser at Chapman Ford is quite nice and I like her a lot. I just don't have a lot of faith in her techs, sadly. And I get why the guy made the comment; I'm pretty overweight if you consider BMI, but given the fact that I'm a weightlifter, I'm not exactly fat.

Here's a photo from a couple years ago when I was in Bogotá (probably 10-12lb. lighter then though):

Still, though, to say that it's a "big boy" problem and then flat-out tell me he wasn't going to even try to fix it?

I'm 6.1 and about 360. I have a 2014 Gt track car with recaros and a new 2016/gt350 base. Currently my seats and or interior panels on both cars do not squeak, rattle creak or ? I do admit the recaros are tight but as I have sit in them more the materials seem to loosen up a bit. Go to another dealer.

I'm a weightlifter and weigh about 270-280lbs (I compete in the 125kg weight class).

Recently my driver's seat started squeaking whenever I moved, including let off the clutch, etc.

I took the car in to the dealership (I've owned the car for six months, and it's been in the shop for a month of that so far) and the first time, the tech said he couldn't replicate the problem.

I did a ride-along with him yesterday and sure as shit, the seat creaked and squeaked (and the rear interior trim pieces buzzed, etc.). The tech told me this was a "big boy problem" and that he was "not even going to try to fix it."

WTH?

Is this acceptable?

Is there anyone else who weighs a fair bit who drives a Mustang, and if so, does your seat sound like a sad sea lion? Should I just go to a different dealer?

I can say that this whole experience of dealing with Ford's lousy QC is really, really souring me on the brand. I'm very disappointed in the fact that my car has only 3,800 miles and has had all these issues.
Off topic, but are you a competitive bodybuilder or powerlifter? Just asking because I follow competitive bodybuilding (NPC and IFBB).

I'm a semi-pro raw powerlifter; I compete most regularly in NASA, though I also hold a number of records in 100% RAW as well as some in APA/WPA.

I classify as "elite" in total and squat, and "international elite" in deadlift.

For some reason I just never had the correct set of circumstances to get bodybuilding-big. Nor do I possess the desire to diet like bodybuilders do; that is some pretty intense shit! When I lived overseas I was friends with Kang In-su (who made me look tiny, incidentally) and, man, the things that guy would eat -- especially leading up to comps. . .

I'll just sit here and enjoy my late-night Fruity Pebbles!

6'4" here, 275lb raw class of the SPF. (I'm weak, 1300ish total lol) Seat in my 2016 GT premium creaked from the first second I sat down. It annoyed me really bad for a few weeks. Don't even notice it anymore lol. I want it fixed, but I also don't want some service tech morons tearing up the inside of my car for a small squeak in the seat.

Well I guess I'm on the lighter side being just shy of 200lb but my Recaro back also creecks under certain movement. Usually sidede to side motion when going over rough road surfaces. It seems to come and go and is usually more noticeable in the morning when everything is cold. After some driving the squacking either goes away or gets queter most of the time. I decided to leave it alone for now and see how things go, I don't want to leave my car with the dealer for however many days it will take to fix only to have the noise come back a month later.

Im a semi-pro registered fat ass. Tipping the scales a few biscuits shy of 350 and a whopping 5'11".
Not one sound out of my seats. Of course I probably can't hear them moaning and groaning with all my fat smothering them.

I posted this is the tall thread about seating postition. But any other fellow fat asses have trouble getting comfortable? Not all that uncommon for a stay puff such as myself but I wish these seats sat lower. Might swap out my power seats for manuals that sit lower.

Very cool man! I started to get back into the game around August, but mostly just to lose fat. Long gone are the days of college football 6' 272 lbs. 19% BF walking around in EliteFTS tank tops lol.
