Well, last year I got the RPI painted Roush heat extractors. After I pulled the car out of winter hibernation, I noticed that the left front side (on the drivers side) of the extractor was now higher than the hood, the glue globs were failing. Took both off.

I sent pictures to RPI & they forwarded them to Roush, I'm waiting for an answer (if any).

Has anyone with the standard Roush extractors experienced this?

My Roush extractors had a similar issue. The small clips that snap to the hood itself didnt seem like they were tight. I "shimmed" those small clips (feet) that hold to the hood and it seemed to help. I even put a dab of epoxy on the underside of the extractors to hold them in better.

Sorry, didn't word that correctly.

On mine the bottom portion is separating from the top portion of the extractor itself. It's not a problem with how it sits in the hood.

Mine are doing the same thing but haven't had time to take a closer look at them. The front edge is raising up so it's higher than the hood now.

My RPI painted ones are the same way. I personally believe they (RPI) separate the 2 halves, paint, then reassemble them. I think the glue comes apart over time and they begin to separate again. I have no proof that this is their process but thats how it appears. I had my painted ones vinyl wrapped and when I saw them separate I thought perhaps the tight vinyl was making the upper part of the extractor curl.
I have a second set of unpainted extractors direct from Roush that have now been on the car almost a year without curling or separating.

I would think that if they separate the extractors for painting & then re-glue they wouldn't send them to Roush. Roush would just say it's on them.
