I took my daughter for a test drive so she could get excited for the Mustang arriving next month.

One thing I knew she'd like was the ability to change the lighting.
I had found this video showing how to do it, but this option didn't show up in the vehicle settings like it does on this video.

The only way I found to do was in the dash menu and using the steering wheel controls.
Is that normal? Why wasn't it there on the MFT screen?

Do any mustangs have it like the video where you can change the color etc on the MFT screen (as opposed to the dash)?

No, I think the mustang retains it on the Dash because that is where it has always been. The Mustang has had MyColor since the 2005 and I think the 2007 added the Ambient lighting option so they married the two

We only have these options.

Can't do it through the screen. Just tried.

Who cares? It works perfectly through the buttons on the left hand of the steering wheel and the little display between the gauges.

I'm not overly concerned. I just noticed the video vs. the application and wasn't sure if certain models had the ability and others may not or whatever.

I like the ability to use the MFT to do it if possible, but it's surely not a deal breaker.

How easy is to do custom colors? My daughter kept asking about PINK! ha.

Changing colors is super easy. Just has to be at night as it doesn't allow you to change during day (gauges). If you like your ambient to match your gauges.

Honestly,it's easier in the center dash then on the MFT. My wife's Explorer is through the MFT and I much prefer setting via the dash screen.
