Anyone have the issue where the ambient air is showing 50 ? I have the SYNC3 . Every time I think about taking it in , it seems to fix itself . I think it has to do with hot weather because it had been fine since October, then popped up again recently on a hot day. Now its back to normal.

I'm thinking bad temp sensor ? I know its behind the bumper on the passenger side somewhere . Anyone know where ? It's like a $15 part .

I believe I read somewhere else on this forum that on hot days, the ambient air temp reading wont update until the car has been driven for a bit as for the readout to not give an artificially high reading from heatsoak from the sun. Next time it gets stuck, maybe take it on a ten minute mini cruise down a highway?

Yeah this is totally normal (especially since you're in VA and my temp. sensor is doing the same thing). When I start my car in the morning, the temp. would 50F to 60F and would vary depending on where I drive. After shutting it off and turning it on when the ambient temp. is around 70F, the sensor would still read the same temps as this morning but driving awhile should rectify the inaccurate reading. I'm thinking that the temp. sensor is a little slow but not really much of an issue.
