Hey all, does anyone know of a vendor that has a kit for detailing a car ending with ceramic? This is for a brand new car so I would need everything that comes after the wash to include protection for plastic parts. I don't think I need to use a buffer on the car so really just looking for what? Clay, alchohol wipe, then what as far as products go?

If you clay you need to polish after and use an iron remover before. There are so many options out there, I am not too up to date on the best DIY kits for ceramic coating. My car is getting Gyeon duraflex right now, I couldn't buy everything I need for the price of getting the car professionally done with a coating of the quality of Gyeon Duraflex.

I am not aware on any start to finish “kits” although it sounds like a good idea. As armsdealer mentioned there are a number of steps to take before you get to the actual coating itself. The prep work is critical to get the best finish. Also do not believe that just because you car is new it doesn’t need a full prep work up. You would be amazed at what you’ll see under a detailers lights. I know I did.

You can find a lot of great information on the Detailed Image site:

I'm a huge fan of GTechniq. They have a pretty full kit here: https://usa.gtechniq.com/products/auto/master-detailing-collection

You will just need a polisher, lots of time, and a few other minor tools and you can coat everything in your car easily. Their stuff is super easy to work with and they have tutorials on most stuff on YouTube.
