not wanting to hijack the thread but do people find that the aircon in the mustang is a little erratic? mine since new has always been icey cold but seems to like to blow out cold air at random fairly strongly when set to auto for no apparent reason, i also find myself constantly changing the temp, up, down by a degree or two. Its not as bad as i have probably made it sound but in the m2 it was set and forget and the same goes for the climate in the focus.

Obviously, set to auto, it will do it's own thing.

Ideal temps for folk is between 19 & 21 C.

My point was when set to auto it isn't particularly consistent in maintaining a steady temperature. Auto obviously means it shouldn't need intervention as much as I feel it does when every other car I've owned has been pretty much set and forget.

My question is do others experience the same or is it possibly a fault. My car did actually have a AC fault which delayed me picking it up although that was apparently a broken pipe

I find on hot days the air con struggles fighting heat from the engine.

i find the auto pretty poor in terms of driver comfort so much so i usually have it not on auto. Weirdly, when the fan is in manual control the speed constantly changes. It's like no, fan speed set to three should remain constant at three. It doesn't. Utter annoyance but hey ho first world problem

I conclude from the replies the auto A/C in my Mustang is probably as designed by the special folk over in Flat Rock and not faulty.

As stated, its not that bad, just a bit irritating at times.
