I ordered a 400A mustang and I'm afraid the bass may not be enough as I have an aftermarket subwoofer in my current car. Does anyone know if the factory Headunit will have connections to allow an aftermarket subwoofer?

Many are saying the infotainment system is the same as many other fords so I'm hoping some of you may have some insight on this.

I just went through all the pages in the infotainment sub forum and did not see any other specific threads addressing this...

I'm interested in knowing the possibilities of this as well. To do this easily, I'm hoping there's some sort of line-level audio output from the rear of the factory head unit. Anybody willing to pull out their head unit and take a look? FordService - can you get us some schematics on the Mustang stereos?

Hey SeventhWard,

I recommend checking out the Shop Manual for schematics and technical information. You can purchase online access here.

If the stereo doesn't have line-outs, you can still buy a line-out converter and wire it in yourself. You won't get individual subwoofer control, but it is better than nothing.

Check with user stoli. He removed all replaced all speakers except for front center as well as the sub. He has a project thread here:
