I'm wondering if anyone has gotten aftermarket leather on their cloth Mustangs. My V6 will have cloth but I want to get red leather eventually. Would the red premium leather fit on the base seats? I men perhaps I could get a set off eBay at some point but I wanted to know if it would work or if it's better to go with Katzskin or something.. Pics? Ideas?

I don't know how it would work on cloth, but my dealership told me they work with an aftermarket leather place and you can get any color leather you want. The cost would have been $1600.

I'm going with leatherseats.com. The biggest difference between them and katzkin is that they will ship directly to you instead of requiring you to go to an authorized installer. Hopefully within the next few weeks I will be ordering my seats and will be sure to post pictures of the install. I am doing a custom two tone interior based off of the LE two tone color scheme.

Very cool! I can't wait to see it. Will you also be getting the door panels done? If so how much is it extra? Will your seats be heated as well?

I had Shelby take-offs in my 2011 v6. Paid $200 for them shipped. Roush usually sells the take-offs also. Watch some Youtube videos and you will see they aren't too difficult to install.

Do they have colors like red or saddle take offs? How do I see if Shelby or Roush has them?

Keep an eye on their websites. When I got mine they only had black. Preferred dark saddle but couldn't pass up the price.

The current plan is to just do the seats but the door panels will be modified at some point! If I ordered the panels directly from leatherseats it would be around $100 extra. My plan though is to just buy the material at $15 per yard and have my family friend who does custom interior modify them for me.

Yes my seats will be heated as well! I just can't decide where to put the damn switch for the seat.... I have two locations in mind that each have their pros and cons...

Let me know where you want to put the switches for the heated seats. I was thinking somewhere near the cup holder area on the center console but when I actually get mine I'm sure I'll be able to figure something out if that spot isn't good lol . Always good to get ideas. I want red and black or all red with black stitching on my interior..

Well like I said I had two locations in mind. I originally wanted to put them down in the center stack next to the usb port and the power outlet... I soon found out that this would not be possible without modifying the actual dash and relocating the mounting points for the center stack bezel... See EcoSnake's pictures of his radio install... Now the two locations I am considering are the side of the seat near the power seat controls or on the door next to the lock/unlock switch. The seat option is easy to reach and hides the aftermarket switch nicely. The downside to this is that I will not be able to reach the passenger seat control or see if it is activated with just a glance. The door location solves this issue and is still very accessible. The problem with this location is that it doesn't hide the generic aftermarket switch and would require routing wires through the door harness...

Does anyone know if the "Black" katzskin leather matches the stock interior of the Mustang/

Here are some dealer installed pics

Sorry about 5 months late but I got the dealer to install leather seats and door trim on my 2015 GT PP DIB base model. cost a grand and they did okay but for same money Mr. Lee ( a local upholstery shop) could have done it and included a DIB color match seat insert for about the same. Main reason I did not go Premium GT was because off the other stuff Shaker, navigation and so forth that really raised the price up. With the leather, tax tag and title I was able to get out the door at little less than 34K.

Took them 3 days to get it back to me .. a little saggy on the side bolsters but overall its all there.
