B.L.U.F. (bottom line up front):
If/when anybody hears about availability of OEM center console stacks, i.e. screen, chrome toggles for accessories, etc, please post up. GM does stuff like that, and I can get any manner of Corvette hardware/interior item through vendors if need be. Hoping Ford does something similar? First one I've owned since a Fox Body.
Long version:
My ideal '15 was originally a super basic GT with Recaros as the only option. Wanted a light-as-possible V8 car. Well, I gave in and just changed the order to a Perf Pack based almost entirely on just wanting the 3.73's right off the bat, and due to carry-over resale value when it comes time to sell the car. I personally believe I'll be able to make a sufficient chunk of that back upon selling in a couple years, as the Perf Pack adds appeal.
That said, I truly did not want leather in the car, nor do I personally appreciate all the gadgetry. It's just a Mustang. I've had and will have other cars full of tech, and just want this one simple. However, I really dig the look of those toggles and that larger screen. I'm aware just installing those wouldn't necessarily give me any particular features that a base car doesn't incorporate, but as long as the larger screen unit functions in the same capacity as the base car's, I'm content. The chrome toggles would just be spliced into the current buttons and would operate them seamlessly.
