I have a Borla S-Type catback put back on my x-pipe after previously swapping back from Borla resonator and the tips are not aligned properly. It sits too close on the inside of the bumper and almost rubbing. The height and length are perfect.

Has anyone tried using adjustable exhaust hangers? If so share your setup I'd love to see some ideas.

If not I'll have to bend the hangers. Just don't have access to a table vice right now or anything to bend them with.

use shims above the hangers where bolts to car to lower it if you need them dropped.

Good thought but no doesnt need to be dropped. It sits perfect height wise.

I'm thinking both hangers need to be bent a little. I fixed it enough for now so the inside of the tip facing the license plate side isn't touching the plastic bumper.

Guess I'll have to wait till were outta Quarantine so I can use a friends table vice to bend the hangers.

the hangers are pretty damn stout, I had them off and such, solid piece of metal. that is unfortunate you have to manipulate yours, the exhaust I put on was 100% spot on. but its only natural small variances do happen, whether its the bracket, or the exhaust. not always perfect without some finess

is there any slop in the hanger itself where it bolts under the car?

perhaps you could loosen the hanger, slide it towards the outside of the car just a bit then re-tighten?

or, put a metal shim only under half of it, to get the correct amount of tilt. and you could correctly do both sides with same shims so they are both perfectly the same.

Great idea!

The side to side adjustment is done where the muffler pipes connect to the forward pipes. Loosen the clamps and slide the pipes outward. They may be a lttle tight if the clamps were made really tight but some wd-40 or pb blaster may help
