Hi Guys,

I don't have my car yet! My Mustang was ordered after a canceled order for the 2016 Camaro (decided I like to see my surroundings and Mustang just looks better) and Then a canceled GTI order (the scandal made me cancel that one) but one thing I loved in the Camaro was the Performance exhaust and the adjustable baffling they used. Any after market options to get an exhaust like that on the Mustang? not so much the same sound but the adjustability of the sound is what I'm after

I wish someone would just sell the butterfly values. I want to get the Corsa Extremes but cold starts worry me a little.

Before I installed headers, cold starts with my Borla Type-S were loud, but not too bad. I would think if you didn't have headers, the Corsa Extremes would be loud, but also not crazy...depends where you live and neighbor tolerance and such.

If you do have headers or plan on installing them, cold start will be ungodly loud...wake the dead loud.

I've been wanting the same thing. For the most part, I don't care how loud my car is... I'm not usually doing cold starts when everyone is asleep, but I wouldn't mind a way to quieten my car down in certain situations. The roush system seems very nice, but damn that's a ton of money. I honestly wonder how many of those kits roush sells, because I have yet to see anyone on these forums mention that they bought one. I'd consider it at half the price, but I'd still be on the hook to buy the quad tip exhaust ($1k), and a quad tip valence. A lot of money for active exhaust.

Meanwhile, those varex mufflers seem interesting, but it seems a bit tame, even when fully open. If I go through the trouble of active exhaust, I want both ends of the spectrum.

Roush has a quad setup that has electronic valves adjustable on the fly with a knob.

I think you paired the Varex system with headers catted or non-catted, you'd have the volume on demand that you want!

Or...forgot to mention this...

Do an x-pipe resonator delete and/or a cat delete and then pair it with the Varex mufflers (without headers) and I'm willing to bet you'll have enough volume. Obviously any set-up with headers will increase in volume, but If I was doing Varex mufflers, I'd do a cat delete (like the Mak cat deletes), the x-pipe resonator delete (like Lethal's) and then put the Varex in. With that, your running pretty much straight through till the Varex mufflers. I'm sure that'll have nice volume.

Or just cancel your mustang order and order a challenger.

If you are talking about what I think you are, the Solo Performance exhausts have J pipes you can adjust to help with drone, and to get the "pop" when taking foot off the gas....it's a very nice setup, and a great price....

I will likely be doing a full 3 in magnaflow setup, try to get it as quiet as possible, then add e-cutouts just before the IRS cradle, bypassing the back mufflers.

It would be very interesting to try and add a pair of vibrant/dynomax resonators ahead of the e-cutouts so that you at least get some refined sound. Hmmm...

Or, Magnaflow resonated X-pipe ahead of the e-cutouts....
