Adding options after ordered

Hey was wondering if anyone has had any experience with adding an option after the car was ordered?
I have a 16 retail order in that hasn't been scheduled yet and was wondering if I would still have the ability to add the enhanced security option.

I added Navigation about a week after I ordered in June. Dealer told me I had a limited window to make changes although who knows if that was accurate.

Placed my order 06/20, Changed my interior color 07/29. Did not have any problems. Got an email from Ford customers service with VIN today

From past order experiences, as long as the order has not scheduled you’re ok, guys. We do not recommend making too many drastic changes, because this may delay your order. Always check with your dealer first.
