Anyone else think Ford is just going to convert some 21 orders to 22? I expect them to, and I don’t think there will be any changes between 21 and 22. Once the plant gets going again, they’ve only got so much time to make S550’s before they have to get the plant ready for S650’s.
I wouldn't bet against it. Time and chips are not on Ford's side.

Another forum member identified that Ford has silently raised the price. My build has gone up in price by $2,785. I'm unsure if this will impact submitted factory orders.

Can you share the summary?

My MSRP in March was $59,010 for premium silver with handling package, destination, and gas guzzler tax. Read the same comment about increased pricing yesterday so I got on the Ford build and price page and it’s now $2,235 more. But I don’t see any way the dealer could charge us the new prices, we ordered at the old prices, not our problem that Ford couldn’t ship them to us for so long.

Do you have a signed contract? If so it would be pretty fucked up for Ford to do this to people who probably should have already had their cars built. I would have paid more for my car had this been the price at the time but had Ford raised the price while I was waiting for it to be built there would have been a decision that had to be made. That is not good business. I would like to think they will do the right thing for people that have sales contracts already on the books.

Check the fine print of the dealer contract. I know that when I picked my Mach1 up, the contract was re-written (typed) whereas the original was handwritten by the salesman. Check the fine print of them. They may have some statement that prices can change...

I’m looking for two columns:
Before and After
For my car was / is now:
Mach 1, $51,720, $53,400 (+$1,680)
Premium Package 700A, $1,595, $1,900 (+$305)
Handling Package, $3,500, $3,750 (+$250)
Destination, $1,195 (no change)
Gas guzzler not listed on build and price but would still be $1,000
Total increase $2,235

The gas guzzler is for manual only, I think.

Surely it won't change for people with submitted orders and signed contracts, don't worry. It's not uncommon for car prices to go up for Q3, I saw that with BMW often when I was checking their pricelist.

I just called Ford customer service. They told me to contact Ford marketing, who said that the dealer should honor whatever was agreed upon pricewise at the time of the order, and should not ask us to pay the higher price that is being shown now on build and price.
