I m wondering if someone know if i take the active exhaust but don t take the 12 inch cluster, can i keep the exhaust in sport for example at each start up without setting it up again every time ?
In other word. Will it always start in normal mode ?

Yes, it will stay in sport exhaust setting if you want it to after cycling the ignition off/on.

Maybe I'm missing something, but every time I start my Mustang, the active exhaust always defaults back to normal. I have the digital cluster. Is there a way of setting it so it stays on whenever exhaust mode I last selected? I tried setting it in mymode but that didn't help either.

Thanks,

No one has figured out how to set the default mode. It might require a forscan edit to change the factory default of normal mode.

Cheers,

My 18 non digital cluster active exhaust defaults to Normal mode every time the car is turned on. You can change it right before you push the start button and it will start with whatever you have selected though.

Thanks all. Interesting that Ford didn't give us the option to select your own default. Oh well, at least it's pretty easy to switch.

Update...mine defaults to normal mode too. If you turn the car off, it will keep the current mode. But as soon as you open a door, it defaults back to normal. I didn’t realize this when I posted above.

On the 350's the exhaust is in a loop with the drive modes except when using the killswitch in Track Apps. My understanding is that they do this as a status check for the car on start up. But I'd also believe so it could pass federal mandates for noise production as well on cold starts.

With it being promoted as being able to be set to start in quiet mode at certain times there must be a way to set the startup mode.

I really doubt that, unless you can trick the car to think sport mode is quiet mode I don't see any connection between the two.

I think that’s only with the 401A package where you can schedule your car to start at certain times of the day, including modes, using the Fordpass app.
