Active Exhaust Valve Size

Regarding the actual plate that opens and closes on active exhaust does anyone know the size of it on a borla or corsa exhaust? I ask because magnaflow has thier AE adapters and it is only 2.5" and it sits in a 3" pipe. Is the corsa or borla 3" or is it also 2.5. Thanks

I can check for you. I actually have each system. The borla s-type active is currently on my car and the Corsa active system is in the basement waiting for me to put it on the wife's car. I'll check when i get home tonight

The corsa valves are definitely bigger than 2.5 inch. They are very close to the inside diameter of the pipe. Sorry for the crappy pics. I'm pretty sure the Borla is the same. I'll get some pics later tonight when i head down to the garage

After checking the borla system it too is bigger than 2.5 inch. One thing i did notice is the outter pipe has a very little opening through it. This explains why the s-type non active catback i had on the car had a different sound to it and was louder than the act

Just a bit of a correction- on our 18+ active systems we use 3" tubing for the entire system up to the rear mufflers when it splits to dual 2.5". Our valves look very similar to the ones pictured and are sized to fit the ID of the tubing. There is no real benefit to using 3" tubing for the short distance between the muffler and the tip.
