Active Exhaust - Power or Just Noise?

Anybody know if the active exhaust has any benefit--i.e. power at the wheels--besides sounding cool and irritating the neighbors (which is OK if one of your neighbors likes to goose his straight-pipe Harley early in the morning)?

No expert here, but pretty sure it helps with power as it opens up the exhaust....

Noise. The restriction on these cars is not the cat-back, it's the headers, and (on the 2015-2017 cars) the stock suitcase resonator. Still, they sound badass in full open mode, and your butt dyno will tell you it's worth at least 10 HP.
