Hey y’all,
I’ve been dealing with an A/C issue where the system randomly blows cold and hot air at the same time. I also kept hearing a ticking noise from inside the cabin. At first, I thought the compressor was going out, but after taking the car to a mechanic for diagnostics, it turns out the A/C expansion valve needs to be replaced.
Since I like wrenching on my car myself, I’m planning to tackle the job. I know I’ll need to have the system vacuumed and recharged afterward, so no worries there.
What I’m stuck on is how to actually remove the expansion valve. I see two lines connected to it, and one of them is tucked behind the intake manifold — not much room to work with. I’ve searched around but haven’t found any solid videos or walkthroughs showing how to get it out.
If anyone has done this before or can shed some experience,I’d really appreciate the help.
Thanks in advance!
