A10 core, what years/models - 10r80 EB versus 5.0?

Looking to try to find a A10 core for rebuild for my 2020. Get one built, put it in then get the old one built as spare.

The 10R80 debuted in the 2018 S550 and remains as the auto trans up through 2021 in all GT, EB and Mach 1 platforms.

Are they all the same though? I have seen several EB in JYs with A10s.

Well, trying again. I know the EB and 5.0 are different, as the starters are in different locations, on parts.ford.com they are different. However it looks like it might only be the case/pan are different as looking at numerous parts they are the same part number (planetary, pump, output shaft, and so on). Can anyone confirm if I got a 5.0 10r80 case and a EB 10r80 trans I could swap the guts into the 5.0 case?

Car-part.com may be a good source close to you...there are enough wrecked GTs trans should be cheap with many next to new. Maybe F150 is same ?
The EB is less than half the price, some of the 5.0s are listed for 3K, which is more than a new one list for from ford.

Interesting...you can always call one up and offer I guess. Some of those recycler prices are ridiculous....
I agree. I've also found an EB for $400 local to me, which is almost free as the valve body alone cost that much. It would open up many more options if all the guts were the same, which I suspect they are.
