Technically no customers including yourself have "pre-ordered" anything yet, at least as far as Ford is concerned. Retail order banks have not yet opened, which is why there has been no information about option pricing announced yet. All of the orders placed since May 20 have been for dealer stock and do not have customer names associated with them. Most dealers that are taking pre-orders for customers will place the custom orders as stock and just hold those cars for those customers so you should get one as soon as it comes in.
My name is on my DORA...Not sure where you are getting your info but I am not in the automobile business, so I could be wrong

For What It's Worth...

Spoke to my dealership today while picking up a hard copy of my DORA. His explanation:

My GT was one of three allocations the dealership received. This is still a customer/retail order. The Dealer STOCK orders will be filled first. However, they will be held for QAQC and then sent to dealers. Retails orders will not be filled until the dealer stock orders have been given the thumbs up of being without flaw.

So, as a consumer about to spend $40K on my dream car... I'm more than happy to wait an extra couple weeks to be sure my GT meets Ford quality standards before I take deliver. I've waited four years for this moment, what's another week or two?

He also told me QAQC doesn't take long. The setback on retail orders will, at worst, be no more than a month. At best, one week.

As always, third party info... take with a grain of salt. I'm comfortable with this info.

I don't think x plan pricing would be on a stock order rather than retail... is that correct? It would be considered special order on any of the adx plans

Another thing when you think about it.. we already ordered our cars and it is expected to be already sold, would it be fair for the dealership to fulfill the custom orders before their own stock? It isn't many people might wind up with an actual stock order since it is already what the customer wanted and it was already as the stock order so they allocated that car for the customer. A dealer also has the opportunity to use info from their current custom builds to determine what they want to order for retail or stock along with their past sales with the lower, non premium Mustangs. If I was running a dealership that is probably what I would be doing because it just makes good business sense

How do you tell how your order was placed is it the type? or the priority code? My sheet says type :retail priority code:10.

My local dealer just called me today and told me he just got told of his allocations I had already order from another dealer because he wasn't taking orders when others were. He then told me that there was no guarantee that the dealer I ordered from would actually get allocations for the car and that is what he wasn't taking orders until he got his allocations. Is he just trying to make a hard sell or did dealers really take orders before they even know if they would be allowed to fulfill them? I already messaged Tricia to ask her but just want to know if anyone else as been told this.

Retail custom order and the priority codes are 10-19 from what I understand. Also if you make a custom car order, does dealer really require an allocation or is it treated as a special order? Curious on that one.. also isn't allocations based on sales numbers on what a dealer is allowed to order as stock?
