I did exactly that, recently - forgot to plug that little A/C pigtail connector back in. Drove the car, wondered why air conditioner wasn't working and then remembered. On plugging it back in there was no change. I was sure it would all be fine but no. Air had been working prior to this.

Is it possible to have done damage or caused something to malfunction that needs to be reset? I think that little guy tells the system if there is no freon, maybe. Could I possibly have confused it?

I had the compressor replaced a couple of years ago, under warranty. It had started making noise and then failed. I fear I may now have the dreaded evaporator issue now. Will try the battery disconnect thing, too.

I don't have FORSCAN or whatever connector or tool is needed for that. Would that tell me anything? I'm into picking that up if so. Sounds like a "nice to have", anyway.
