A/C cooling fan runs constantly

tried search couldn't find much at all.... when i turn on the a/c in my car, the cooling fan in the front comes on wide open until i turn the a/c off or turn the car off...I've never had a car do this before....if it's 95 degrees outside, i get it...but it happens when it's in the 30s and 40s...any help is appreciated...the dealer said it's normal....17 GT350
