I was 13 years old. I remember waking up wondering why I was hearing news on the radio and not Fuel or Disturbed.
I wandered downstairs and saw my parents in shock, staring at the TV. Watching the planes hit, over and over.
I taped hours and hours and hours of news footage for the next days and weeks. I haven’t watched it yet in my adult life, but I’m sure one day I will and it’s going to bring back the emotions of that day. The feeling of being under attack, wondering “what’s next”, growing up and having close friends that went to serve in the Middle East.. it was a very definitive point in time.
