6R80 types?

Hello,

I would like to ask, is automatic transmission 6R80 is the same in all 2015-2017 Mustang models?

I mean, can I take 6R80 from salvaged ecoboost or V6 Mustang and put it to GT without any modifications/adjustments?

The 6R80 was the same physical size in all 2015-2017 S550's. I believe the other physical differences you will find be:

Possible bell housing variation between GT and EB

Possible flex plate variation between GT and EB

Driveshaft (if stock) must be one for an auto trans, as it has to be able to bolt up to the trans flange and rear pinion flanges for an auto trans

I *think* the GT and EB 6R80 has the same internal gear ratios, but am not 100% certain between the 2 platforms.

The 6R80 between a GT and EB might also have the same software logic, but again I am not 100% certain.
