What year mustang 6r80 will swap out with 2015 mustang gt? Still want all the same functions as my 2015 mustang has. Looking to get a core and have it built and save mine to return it to stock later.

How much power are you looking to put through this transmission? The 6r80 can handle quite a bit. Anything less than 800-900hp and I wouldnt even worry about it too much.

Did you get an answer to this? I have a feeling that the 2011 F150 and mustang 6r80 will work but I have not been able to confirm this. Check out www.car-part.com for a used one.

From what I read the shift linkage is different between the f150 and mustang 6r80.

The shift linkage is different but that is an easy fix using the mustang shift arm and making an L-Bracket. I am mainly concerned if it can be programmed to work. I might just try it if I can't find a deal on a 2015 tranny.
