You did a great job. Don't let his harsh reaction bother you too much. But the fact does remain, even once built and you're 900+whp, a trans brake and launch control/2 step/wot box are a known recipe for splitting these cases. Its half the reason people switch to the th400 and glide. No I suppose i could try it tomorrow .........
I just showed this to a trans guy tonight that i know and thought he would be impressed  he looked at me and said why the f*** would you do this ? He said the 6r is to finicky and to just foot brake it with a convertor leaving in second then bump to drive. It will last a long time with no drive train shock loads.
It works great tho ............ Not sure what to do now
I can't help but wonder if that's due to builder or bearings being used, or both? Was it just a stock th400 or built? Still cheaper than a new trans case potentially... Maybe try a built glide.Ya its a crap shoot all around really, my 08 had a th400 and it would burn up thrust bearings in the engine at least once a year !
It's interesting either way built or not. Did you build the engine yourself? You seem good at doing your own work but sometimes paying a pro that eat breathes and sleep that engine, they have methods, tricks of the trade, knowledge of clearances that work better you or I don't have. I'm spit balling here. I meant no disrespect.Built
