Is it the new GT350? GT350R? SOME SUPER SECRET MUSTANG VARIANT?

NOPE!

Just another awe-inspiring build from Livernois Motorsports!
This time it was a build for Ford Racing. :ford:+
=AWESOMENESS!

Building an engine to excel – and survive – on the road course is much different than building an engine for the street, or for a vehicle that will be drag-raced. This particular road-race 5.0-liter Ford Coyote engine is a culmination of what we've learned. In the classes where they compete, they were down on power and didn't have enough to keep up with some of the other cars – the Corvettes and 911’s – in the straights. They really wanted to make this Mustang package work, and that’s when they came to us.

Want to know why the rest of why Ford Racing chose us? Find out HERE!

AKA the people saying the Coyote is on the way out, and replaced by the 5.2, as Ford can't get much more power out (seen arbitrary numbers like 470, dunno where people get them from or they make this stuff up) of it are full of FUD.

Yes but making emissions compliant power is the hard part

So you built a bad ass 5.0, but removed the "Coyote" from the picture by taking away the cam phasing. That's a well thought out system and very impressive. No need for the phasing for low end torque when you are living in the stratosphere of RPM's all day long. All the little things add up. Especially like keeping the cylinder walls thicker for longevity.
I have to ask though...where does the Livernois name come from?? Every time I hear it I get a bad taste in my mouth. LOL!

Livernois, how close to 13:1 compression was it? I'm curious what the optimal CR for a Coyote motor build like this is when running the fuel to support it, like ethanol or high octane unleaded.

There are several applications where elimination or limiting of the phasing is required even for the driver. A road race application is not the only time that is required.

Situations where we would limit the phase:
Larger cams
Boost

Situation where we lock out the phasing completely:
Huge cams w/very heavy springs
Big boost
Larger cams w/boost

It is still very much a Coyote!

The name comes from a street here in the area.
