I have a on-going list of all the 50th LE Mustangs and I am showing 45 of them totaled so far. (My list also shows color and transmission type for all 1965 of them. Yes there are 1965, Serial number #0001 is a 1-of-1 Convertible (Manual) W. White) and serial number #1 = 1FA6P8RF6F5500001 (Manual) Kona.)

The really strange part is these 2 VINs below are legit VINs!
1FA6P8RF7F5501965 (Manual)
1FA6P8RF9F5501966 (Manual)
I match the 45 totalled, with #1806 possibly being added as 46.
The Convertible VIN ended in 1965, if I'm not mistaken. The actually 50th LE Coupes were 1-1964. I have no idea about VIN # ending in 1966. I'm not sure that website is completely accurate, but anything is possible I guess...?? Nice looking 50th AP rice btw. Appreciate the attention to details on your build.

I picked up the numbered dash off of #1518 It will live on in "Scarlett" my 2015 Race Red Anniversary Package with only 9000mi on the clock..

As for #1124 I can't believe the insurance company totaled it out. I also can't believe it sold for only $12,000.00.

#1124 's windows are finding a new home in my 50th AP car. I had to pay considerably more to get them than you did, but it was less than the $1700 quoted somewhere else in this thread, and the matching door window trim was included in the price. Considering how much that trim costs from a dealer, I figured I made out OK on the deal, and the timing was perfect. I already had my car scheduled to go in the paint shop next week to get a Shelby hood and rockers paint matched to my car, and had pretty much given up on finding a set of these windows, but now they're going to the shop with my car to be included in the make over!

Congrats on your purchase! Including yours I only know of only 3 50th AP Mustangs with these louvered windows installed. They are my favorite mod I've done to my Mustang. I paid $1000 for just the 4 trim pieces alone (direct from Ford) and installed them myself. Ford would not sell the windows to me under any circumstances.

The weird thing is that my Marti report says there were 1,972 built. I am guessing some of those weren't serialized. IDK.

Probably includes preproduction, but those wouldn't have had VIN #s, I think...??

Age of these cars and parts availability are sure to effect the decision of insurance companies to just total vs. cost to repair.
