So im a 1/4 mile track guy and been reading that 3.15 is the better route and so tuner decided to go to 3.15 also..

Ok so what do I need I been reading that I need a new posi differintial and a steel case????

Can anyone guide me in the right direction..

currently doing 1.44 60ft 10.0 137mph I need 3.15

From my experience, you should put higher gears when running the 1/4 mile. It helps you launch better... This is the 1st time Ive heard to go in the other direction.

Interested in seeing your outcome once completed..Good luck and keep us updated..

Sorry no answer to your specific question.

I can see longer gears helping with F/I cars in some cases but not sure 3.15 would help in your situation?
I could only see 3.55 as a detriment if forcing a shift into a higher gear. At 147, you should still be in 4th gear and definitely wouldn't be staying in 3rd with 3.15's. Your 60 ft looks good. You could achieve less gear easier with a taller tire. Are you still on the stock converter?
I bet you'd be in the high nine's easy on a cooler Fall night with your current setup...
