How much gas in the tank? How high above sea level are you? What are the inlet air temps reading?
Half tank. Mile high. Last one I don't know. Never read that gauge while timing myself. Nothing to do with tricky shifting. In drive mode I just smashed it till past 60. I assume our elevation has some part in it as does the premium gas but I still can't account for the slow times. I was in s mode using the paddles and only got 8.0. I was in drive mode using auto and only got 7.9 with a 2k launch. Tomorrow I'll try S mode 2k launch and see what I get. My bets on 7.8-7.9.

I'm puzzled by the 8 seconds. You don't even need to launch at 2k to get 6.0. I assume you have an auto, so simply put the shifter in "S" and you're in sport. You don't need to use the paddle shifters, for 0-60 I wouldn't recommend it.

My best time was 5.8, but I haven't tried it in a while.
In sport mode the best time I've gotten without launching is 6.1 seconds. Maybe due to high 60's temps I tried it in?

Try it with: lower rear tire pressure around 28-30 psi (use a gauge)
1/8 of a tank premium fuel
Get rid of all excess weight in the car.
Cool morning or night air temp.

Were you able to get the 3.73s installed?

Is your V6 manual or auto? Will you be tuning it?

You won't be able to hit 60 in second unless you raise the rpm-limiter

Are you sure he can hit 60 even by increasing rpm rev limit. With 3.55 gears you can hit 60 by increasing rpm rev limit by a few hundred rpm but it seems borderline. Can you raise rpm limit higher to reach 60 in second with 3.73 gears... Not sure...

I Have a V6 with the 315 rear, looking to get 355 or 373 but i found out i need to change the rear diff to use other gears.. Found it all on american muscle.com, diff is $180 & so are gears..

What rear diff? I got quoted for $800 here in canada their changing my 3.15 to 3.73 they didnt mention any rear differential

go to americanmuscle.com, when you click on gears it tells you you need a different diff for 355 or 373's for the base v6 rear..
