This is my last post in this thread.
Finally I picked her up yesterday from the dealer, she's home and we had time to bond.

I cleaned both inside and outside and except two very minor damages from the transport that will be fixed (an interior door handle and a plastic trim), she's very well. I have some residues on the paint but I guess it's dried wax and I'll find the right product for that.
The colour is amazing.

My complete timeline is: Ordered 04/16 - First production date of 06/29 (Before serialization) - Delayed to 08/01 (After VIN assigned) - Delayed again to 08/13 - Blend date: 08/08 - In production 08/10 - Built 08/23 - Shipped 08/27 - At Newark port since 08/30 - On the Atlantic Sea vessel from 09/13 - Discharged in Antwerp port 09/28 - "Activate your vehicle" in FordPass mobile application 09/30 - Ready to leave Antwerp port from 09/30 - Arrived in Livorno 10/23 - At the dealer 11/02 - Took delivery 11/04

Do you get a lot of attention with that car in Italy? I feel like something like this has got to be rare.

Do you get a lot of attention with that car in Italy? I feel like something like this has got to be rare.

I get some attention yes, but actually much less than I anticipated.
Mostly from older people, younger generations seems to care less about cars.

I am already inside the local Mustang community and I'm going to Milano Autoclassica this month (to showcase the 'stang, cause you said, it's a rarity here).
I received a few genuinely envious looks, but from some losers.

Edit: I feel I should add some context. Here in Italy there is a tax, called Superbollo, that you have to pay for each and every KW exceeding 225. I don't want to say how much it is, but it's a considerable amount. So the uncalled for social envy comes for free with the car, because everybody thinks you are "rich" (whatever that means in their little heads).

I’ve been tracking my car on the CSX rail obsessively lol. Final rail destination is Twin Oaks PA. Its ETA was 11/7 since I began tracking it, the exception of one day that it said 11/8. These are the updates for today:


Nov 5 12:33 pm- departed for Chester PA, ETA 11/7

Nov 5 6:30pm - arrived at Chester PA, ETA 11/7

Nov 5 8:36 pm - Departed for twin oaks PA, no ETA available

Anyone know why the ETA is gone now??

My salesman just called. My car is to arrive at Dealer this afternoon. he is going to text me pictures when it gets here. Whooot!!! I feel kinda like a kid on the last day of school.

For some reason I thought the door cards came in the same color. But my white seats also got the standard black door cards... I guess I have to look at Katzkin or aftermarket... :(

Congrats and I see no snow on the ground there which means you actually get to drive it! I just hit 1k miles today on mine so that means its time to put the pedal literally to the metal.

ya, i live 3 miles from work so getting 1k on it is going to be a slog. I plan to oil change at 500 miles and wait to 1k to beat on it. I set my shift light at 4k and have been half throttle when i want to get into it a little, shifting at no higher than 4k for now. It's no slouch even at low rpm and partial throttle.

Is the recommendation to do the first oil change at 500 miles ??
