Huh. Well, I refreshed my tracker to geek out with a friend and apparently my car is now listed as shipped?? How the heck is that possible just five hours after being listed as “built.” Their tracking and notification systems really are out of sync. I’m curious if I’ll ever receive any emails about these updates to my real order.

Right? I have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on and how it can be okay that I’ve had TWO cars built and shipped within a single week while so many others aren’t even out of production yet. 🫤 Come on, Ford…

I thought it was dealership allocations prioritizing some over others but maybe it’s a difference in zone reps or something…? I just have no idea and don’t think anyone does at this point.

Can I ask what dealership you ordered through? I feel like I'd be better off placing a new order at this point through a dealership that obviously has their crap together. I'd have no problem traveling to Georgia to pick it up if it meant the vehicle would be delivered in a timely manner haha

Oh absolutely! Anything I can do to help out, I’d love to. My dealership is JC Lewis Ford in Savannah, GA. And funny enough, I remembered you recently said that your custom car showed up on your dealer’s site, so I browsed their inventory for the heck of it. Sure enough, both my first and second cars are both listed as “in transit” and “reserved!” Despite the fact that my tracker reverted to “built” status this evening and I’ve yet to receive any emails at all from Ford lol

Anyway, it looks like they’ve got quite a few cars in transit but also a lot that are in stock, so maybe you can find your trim already available? It’s not too late into Fall for an East Coast road trip!

The only issues I’ve had with this dealership are that A.) they didn’t listen when I told them the B&O upgrade I’d asked for wasn’t included in my initial order — hence why I have two cars on the way since they had to cancel the first. And B.) I’ve not heard a peep from them since I placed my order despite the person I was working with telling me he’d “reach out every month with updates.” I think he may be pissed I went above him to his manager to get my order corrected since he wasn’t taking me seriously. Note my order was placed 8.5.22 — just five days from the closing of MY22 order banks! You bet I’m going above you to fix this ASAP, bud.

I joined the forum to comment my experience on some of this. I placed my 22 GT/CS 400A, 3.55, A10 order in early May, added 401a to it on July 8th. Finally got a build date in September for October 10th after our sales dept had to bother the zone rep.
Meanwhile, they have ordered several cars not on commodity restriction (premium GT) etc and they have shown up within weeks. I'm a Ford tech so I can see some stuff on the dealer side that others can't. So far my car is scheduled as a 22 but checking yesterday, shows a build date of Oct 19th now moved back from the 10th.

It's a crap shoot.

I had news from my dealer, that I don't know how to put them.

My car was unloaded on the port of Antwerp, Belgium, on 09/28. I have news from my dealer that the last status update is from 09/30, when I was asked to activate my car in the FordPass application. The status reflects that the car was unloaded (not Quality Controls that from what I read from the Europeans forums comes after).

Well, the dealer system shows a delivery ETA of 11/19. SIX WEEKS.
If I were to go on foot from my dealer to Antwerp, walking 8 hours a day for 7 days a week it will take me 3 weeks to reach Antwerp. It's less than 1000Km.

It's pretty disheartening. I know it's not the dealer's fault, he shown me the VISTA system as always, they were always professional and treated me well. I hope that ETA does not come true, it means I will have zero time to use the Pony before winterizing it.
