Somewhat off topic for this thread, but interested in learning from others as to your thoughts on having your new Mustang ceramic coated and/or adding PPF shortly after delivery. If you've done it or are planning to. With all the waiting we have in getting our rides built and delivered, I figured I can use some of this time to research how to best protect the investment once it gets here

So as not to derail this thread, let me know if anyone can recommend another thread here that you found helpful. Being you all are such a great bunch, I thought I would start here!
All depends on what you like to do as far as washing/waxing. I personally enjoy washing and waxing my cars so I’m not really interested in a ceramic coating right now. Lots of good ceramic/graphene infused waxes out there. Just remember with a ceramic coating that maintenance is key to getting the longer life out of them. Lots of good diy coatings out there if you don’t want to pay someone to do it too. Ethos, Glassparency, Avalon King and Carpro Cquartz UK 3.0 are a few for the diy-ers

I drove my car straight to Rahal Paint Protection in Indianapolis after all was said and done at the dealer. I felt it was the best choice to get it done right off the bat. The whole front end, A pillars, partial roof and rockers are getting XPEL PPF. I got a paint correction and ceramic coating scheduled also. Its definitely not cheap, but, I dont think you can go wrong having it done.

looks great. The paint correction will really make that Atlas Blue pop. I did my own paint correction on my 2019 and was amazed at the difference it makes.

Thanks for sharing your experiences and thoughts on ceramic coating and PPF. I plan to research places in my area that perform these type of treatments...and do it well. Thanks again!

It off topic but as the rail strike can affect us.
At noon on Tuesday Norfolk Southern will close all gates to intermodal traffic.
Strike set to start 9/16

What that means is the will not be letting the trucks in and out. Containers there will move, but that’s about it. I think Ford ships most on CSX (to the east coast). We are seeing demands to shift to CSX from companies so if NS does shutdown it will bog down CSX.

I used the link to the chat line that someone in here provided and I got an update. My build is currently on the trim line, seems that it should be done soon. Fingers crossed!!

Anyone know how much of the production process is left after this point? As much as this wait sucks, it’s fun following the process 😃

Glad you got your ride so quick after build! Funny though, that our cars were line buddies, and mine hasn't even started the 45 MINUTE DRIVE from Flat Rock to the dealer. Like, I'll go pick it up, no big deal, lol.
I know you say that yours is going by truck, I hope you don't get any collateral damage from this rail strike nonsense... The worst I saw was a two week +/- wait to go from the factory to Crest Ford which is LITERALLY across the street from the plant.

On the other hand if my car is any indication, prepare your family for quite a few nonsense excuses to go for a drive once you do get your new baby...
