20x10.5 +35 Rear Fitment Experience?

Hey all,

I have seen the specs called out in the title on a XXR wheel specific thread but not too clearly as there were differing offsets being discussed. I purchased a set of staggered BBS LM’s in:

20x9 +28
20x10.5 +35

From what I have read about fitments, the front spec shouldn’t be an issue. Where I have seen some alternating opinions on is the rear fitment. If I were to lower the car an inch would this be an issue? I am also curious what kind of tire would work here. The included 275/30 looks very small for the car and am wondering if a 285/35 or even 295/35 would work. From what I have gathered I would be very close to rubbing the fender, but wanted to see if anyone else had experience with this wheel spec!

Looks good and no rubbing but I am stock height.

Any pics? I’m sorta worried about how much stretch a 275/35 tire would have? Would you say there’s room for 285/35?

I believe a 285 would fit fine and, in my case, allow me to fully air out the air bags with no problem. If you have coil overs or lowering springs a 295 would probably fit fine as well. Maybe even a 305 before you started to see some poke.

Wow dude your car looks awesome. And it’s nice to hear feedback from someone with a more extreme setup compared to what I’m looking for. I would like like to get upgraded struts and springs for an all around 1” drop. Where does your car sit when it’s aired up and driving? Any deviations from factory alignment settings I.e camber adjustments to get the wheels to fit better?

Appreciate it. When it's aired up it probably sits around a 1.2" drop all around. It can also go 1 inch higher than factory. I love the air ride honestly. I currently run a "drag pack" so I don't run those wheels anymore. I had to run -1 degree for the front to tuck in the fender well. The rears had no issues. My first set up was the 1-inch SR performance lowering springs with 1-inch spacers all around. Looked great.

Man after my own heart. My favourite wheel, I would do anything within your power to make them fit. I run a +45 with a 305/30 MPS4s and i have a little poke but i am stock magneride height, if I lowered it they would tuck in. I suspect with that set up you could get away with a 285 or even 295/30 depending on the type of tire you use.

None whatsoever. Stick with a 285 and you’re golden. Prob can go 295 but tire options are slim at that size. My only issue is I feel I may want to jump to 20 inch.

Awesome thanks you. I’ll probably stick to the 285 option and play it more safe. Whenever I get them on and mounted to my car I’ll post back here with pics. The guy I bought my wheels from mounted his oem Tesla Pirellis lol. Part of my deal was to return his TPMS sensors because he got rid of his model 3 for a cybertruck so either way these tires have to come off. Might as well fit rubber that fits better.
