Howdy.

Have any of you had their 2022 order cancelled by Ford recently?
There are rumors around that orders are canceled due to material shortage.

Flat Rock experiences delays and has scheduled shutdowns, but no, no cancellations as of yet.

MY22 still has some time left in it. If anything, they have been removing the "late availability" items (HP, paint colors, etc.) and allowing anyone to order anything.

Ford has closed some order banks for some models, but I have read nothing of the Mustang's banks being closed.

All that being said, anyone remotely considering placing a MY22 order should place one immediately.

I see you have a build date, we're you a reorder?

I was not a re-order from MY21.

Best case, four months from order to build, with another month for shipment to the dealer.

But things being what they are, I would not be surprised to experience a delay (or two).

Like @Skye has said, if you want one, get it in and pray. Im waiting 6 months from order date and still do not have a build date.

Priority number does not mean a thing, it really is like a lottery of who gets a build date. If you order one, I wish you luck.

Some manufacturers have labeled cars like these as NEV. Which means non essential vehicles which are usually the first to get cancelled unfortunately.

I was at my dealership a couple weeks ago to place an order and this was a concern my sales rep had. We got the business manager involved and he pulled the memo from Ford. Turns out, it was only dealer stock orders that were being cancelled and retail orders were being given priority over dealer stock. Retail orders that have a supply shortage issue we’re not being scheduled until parts were in. This was all as of 4/1.

Like others I've read articles and postings on priorities, allocations, sales regions etc. It seems to all make sense, but what one reads on paper is sometimes not what happens in the wild. Many have had a relatively good experience, all things considered. Others, a long series of delays, lack of insight and information.

Maybe its 2020-2022. Maybe the dealer. Maybe its Ford attempting to build the S550 while getting the S650 ready. Maybe all the above.

Do you have a build date yet, or are you and I in the same boat?
No build date and no one can give me answers why I'm getting picked over newer orders.

We are in the same boat, very frustrating.
