Hello Mustang6G Community! I am just starting my 2019 GT Convertible build for a super-fast, topless, thrill seeking GT. I am starting with a great platform, a 2019 GT 5.0 PP1, in Ruby Red (my fav!). She is a 10R80 car, with 401a, PP1, B&O, Nav, and all the goodies. Here is my first picture... my goal is to protect the finish with a wrap, up the power game with a Roush kit, and suspension tweaks/wheel upgrades. I will keep you posted as we build her out!

We completed a full XPEL Wrap of the bumper, fenders, hood, headlights, mirrors, and door openings. Five coats of Ceramic Pro on all surfaces (including wheels -- which I am likely not going to be keeping after she gets Super Charged.)

She shines!

Added a Waylens Secure 360 LTE Security Camera (with interior radar-based motion sensors) for parking with the top-down. I still plan on adding a BlackVue 900X LTE when they finally ship...

Pulled the trigger on new wheels for the Ruby Red Flame. I want to stay 19 inch, and gloss black. While I had my eye on the SVE SP2s, they are not expecting stock until end of Summer (no-dice!)

I selected the brand spanking new Shelby CS-5, 19x9.5 and 19x.11. I should have them next week and plan to coat them in CQuartz myself and then arrange for the tire install. I am going to install Nitto 555RII (Brand new drag radials) at 305-35-19 and Nitto 555G2 (Front) at 275-35-19.

Here is a dramatic photo.. ;-)

Next up.... preparation for the Roush Phase Two Kit (already ordered.).

First up, we need a boost gauge. I learned that you can swap out the the current PP1 gauges for the Ecoboost Performance Guages and you actually gain an OEM boost gauge that works out of the box. No kidding!

Picked it up from LMR and installed that this afternoon and looks factory fresh! What a great deal!

Speaking of putting a Roush Phase 2 kit on the Ruby Red Flame, we are going to need a little bling. Picked these up off eBay... I think they will look sweet. I'll hold off installing until the car is actually super charged!

Next mod:

I installed the CDC Light Bar -- really transforms the look of the car. Overall project took about 5 hours, due to the fact I had tapped the wrong wire and had to "hunt" for the "yellow with grey stripe" wire. It's times like these that you notice your eyes aren't what they were 15 years ago!

Here are some pictures from the project.

Finished Bar:

Playing "Find the Wire"...

Getting the switch "Just right" to trigger the bar’s LED brake light.

Next update: Today I installed my new Shelby CS5 wheels. We went with a staggered setup, in gloss black. 19x11s in the rear, and 19x9.5s in the front. Nitto 555G2 275-35-19s in the front, and Nitto 555R2 Drag Radials 305-35-19s in the rear. The car drives so much better!!

I like the CS5 style, and they will be so much easier to clean. I have red Brembo Calipers going on next week, and have some custom Pony Center caps that I am going to try to install tomorrow. The wheels are getting the Ceramic treatment tomorrow morning.

The car is starting to come together...

Ok... I kept going tonight... installed the custom Pony Center caps on my Shelby CS5 Wheels!! Fit like a glove! Amazing and I feel so much better about this upgrade keeping the pony caps.

Hmm don't know if this would fit what you're going for but I'll have a ruby PP1 rear wing available shortly.

Thanks Mike!!

The PP1 spoiler is the bomb and I would love it in Ruby Red, but it doesn't sit/lie/fit very well on a Vert. The slope of the trunk is a little different so it looks off. I have spent time looking into this. As such, I am going to go with a GT350 Track Pack spoiler in Carbon Fiber (eventually).

Forgot to post this update:

We had our new Escort 360c wired into the mirror, and installed a Blendmount. Looks factory!! With the Car's WiFi hot spot, the detector uses the Internet to crowd source risks and traffic cameras. Looks tight and fresh.

Today, the Ruby Red Flame spent the full day at the Auto Spa, getting the new Shelby CS5 Wheels and Calipers treated to Ceramic Pro 5X coating. Got a call from the detail folks, and she is ready to be picked up tomorrow. We are going to get her in the early AM, so I'll post some pictures after I give her a bath tomorrow.

My attention is starting to turn to next week's big week of mods. We are scheduled at a Roush Certified shop for a full engine and suspension workup. This includes

- DynoJet Testing (Before Mods and After)
- New Roush Phase 2 Supercharger Install (with updated cooling system and latest Roush Tune w/ 3y/36K Warranty)
- New Oil Pump Gears and Sprocket (Boundary OPG, Cavitation Plate, Sprocket)
- New J&M Suspension Work specifically designed for tightening a Vert
- J&M Subframe Alignment Kit
- J&M Adjustable Rear Toe Links
- J&M Full Length Jacking Rails (for bracing purposes)
- J&M Rear Vertical Links with Delrin
- Install the new Performance Brakes (Brembo Red Calipers)
- Install RockBlox for all 4 wheels
- Re-install Strut Tower Brace with custom "fittings" to make it fit.
- Roush Coil Covers

This will represent the majority of the changes planned for the car -- will take all week to complete. We are not planning additional changes to the drive train or suspension (this car is for "spirited driving") unless they are required. According to my speed shop, the J&M changes should stop any "hop" of the rear wheels and tighten up the chassis.

Remaining changes planned will be carbon fiber spoiler, carbon fiber interior dash conversion, and some engine dress up.

Looking forward to getting the Ruby Red Flame up to our original vision for the car when we picked her up....
