Well, from what I've gathered on the forums, if you order after this week, your build will be the week of 7/23 or later. That depends on your dealer allocation, order priority etc. Then once the car is built, you'll be queued up at the rail yard waiting for a full train, then travel time, unload at the rail yard, and delivery to your dealership. So mid-August at best. If you wait on dealer allocation or other common delays, you'll be even later.
From what I've pieced together tracking my build, you'll definitely be after August 1st at this point. I would think you're safe to order any time, but that is my opinion based on observation and research over the past few months, take it with a grain of salt.
I sure appreciate that info. I may call him tomorrow to get the ball rolling. Exciting stuff!

Oh, what did you order?

I've been looking at ordering an 18 car because they have $3,000 in rebates in my area. However, I just read that peoples 18 cars are being turned into 19 cars. Is that true? If so I'm guessing that $3,000 in rebates would transfer/apply to the 19 cars.

I really don't want to order a 19 if i don't know the incentives on the cars.

The 18 orders are having to be reordered as 19s. I'm doing that today with my dealer. Afa rebates, they told me they couldn't guarantee that they'd be the same for the 19s but they could guarantee at least $1000. I had $2000 when I tried to order the 18 on April 27. He also told me that when it arrives, if the rebates are better, then I can choose to apply those.

So the $3000 your seeing is probably only for existing cars on the lots.

The 2018 order deadline was back in March, so any dealer that says you can still factory order one is blowing smoke. Any car you order now will be a '19.
When I ordered my '18 a few months ago, the incentive was $1500. It's gone to $2000 and now north of $3000 in some areas. I don't think you will see incentives anywhere close to this on early MY19 production and most dealers will not agree to carrying over '18 incentives.

There were a number of people who had ordered 18's before the cutoff but their dealer didn't have an allocation to get it built. As mentioned above, these had to be re-ordered as 19's. It would be up to the dealer to give you any rebates, Ford won't be offering rebates (or as high of rebates) for the brand new model year.
