Is the plates removable behind the honeycomb to open it up, or its one solid patterned piece?
Its solid. The first picture shows the back of the "honeycomb" section.

Pics installed please in regards to seams
So far it isn't bad as far as seams. Dear lord this thing is a huge pain in the butt to install. The two bolts closest to the wheel wells are just kicking our butt. The one down side to this valence is that you will have to do some minor modification where the six c-clips go (part number W707291-S439 I think). Had to enlarge the holes some in order to get the clip to stay in when I crimped it. Really minor stuff, the plastic is soft enough where a semi-sharp knife will easily enlarge it. We ran out of time today so we will be putting this on hold for a bit and circle back to finish the installation later.

One thing that surprised me is that this valence is two pieces. The section around the reverse light is removeable (including the two "honeycomb sections). This section includes the center four bolts and the lower reverse light screws, clipping into the other section for a smooth finish. I'm hoping that will help with the installation of the new diffuser. @Mustangpursuit not quite what you were asking about but it would make modifying the honeycomb significantly easier (much smaller section to deal with).
