So would the deal be through koons or a dealer trade with your dealer? Maybe it can just be shipped to your dealer from the get go.
Thats what I'm hoping for. But the salesman from Koons was really wanting my deal. In fact he just called me. I ignored his call because I feel like the dealers should talk. He would probably say "I told you not to tell them." Well, I'm sorry I don't want to drive to Baltimore. And you said I'd have to drive up there to sign the paperwork anyways. I'm sorry but that's just fishy and that he really wants my money. My dealer has been nothing but nice. A nice southern dealer.

Then yea sounds like koons is trying to get the whole sale then ship it to your dealer and they get nothing out of the deal. Well good luck and hopefully you get the car.
I won't do it if they do that. I'll tell them no thanks. And I'll keep my custom order. Hopefully, they actually do it. I will pay for shipping. But right now I don't want to get my hopes up. Because I know that if I do and it doesn't end up the way I want then I'll be heartbroken. So I'm telling myself 'they won't do it' just if they call me tomorrow and say they'll do it I'll be excited! :)

If mine doesn't come in December, it will be tempting to cancel and wait for the PP2.

@disneyfun1 and @bootlegger It sucks our cars are scheduled to be built the week after Thanksgiving, you think the plant workers are going to do a good job after a long weekend? lol I still check cotus like 20 times a day though just in case.

Also yea @bootlegger if we know everything about the PP2 and supposed Bullitt by December then yea might as well right? By then it'd be a retail order and might get priority over a stock order.
Yeah, my whole goal was to have a car well before Christmas. If it starts to look like mid Jan, I will just bite the bullet and wait for the PP2.

I can only find a Orange Fury one spec'd exactly like mine, scheduled 11/30, so still pretty late. So I'm not gonna bother checking on that one, plus it's not the color I want. Also just emailed my dealership to see if they have any updates and if it's possible to get the order scheduled sooner.

Hey Stacie,

My name is Tom Snyder, one of the Managers at Koons Baltimore Ford.

Just saw your posts and I wanted to clarify our position in the situation. To my knowledge, we had not been contacted by your local dealer until late yesterday afternoon. I believe you spoke with one of my reps earlier in the day who may have poorly communicated our position.

We would only sell you our vehicle directly and if you chose to have it shipped down there, that would be up to you. If you paid for shipping, it would most likely just go directly to your front door, not your local dealer as you would have been completing the purchase through us. There is no way we could complete paperwork for you local dealership at our location as we are independently owned. If that's what my sales person said, I'll clarify with him that we can't do that so no mix ups happen in the future.

If you completed paperwork at your local dealership, it would only be on the vehicle that you ordered from them directly unless there was a clear understanding that they would be purchasing/trading the vehicle from our inventory to theirs. Idk if your local dealership told you that they would contact us (or they already had contacted us) but we did not hear from them until yesterday afternoon. Regardless, my sales person should have been much more clear on the fact that we would be selling you our vehicle, at our discount, and it had nothing to do with your local dealership.

I can not commit to sending a vehicle of ours out to another dealership states away until it shows up and that's where we left it off with them yesterday. Secondly, if we decided to give them the vehicle when it comes in from the factory, I would probably only be able to transfer the vehicle into their inventory if they had a similar unit (maybe different color) on the ground that they would be willing to flat bed here from SC. My position is that way because I can't have a new 2018 here with miles on it that would be driven all the way up here. Also, if they are discounting the vehicle like we do, I doubt they would be able to do the deal with the margins that would be left over after covering shipping costs.

You're welcome to contact me directly and I can answer any specific questions you may have. My direct email is [email protected]

Hello Everyone,
Waiting on my 2018 GT also. New to this stuff. What is COTUS? What is the link and how do you use it? Can you look up your car specifically? I do not have a VIN # yet.
Thanks for the info.

My salesman messaged me back and said his GM called their Ford rep to see if he can push my order up a little, don't know if it will happen but at least they tried.

The GT350 my dealer ordered is showing awaiting shipment now... hope that means mine will be the next one cause I'm pretty sure I was the first one to order a 2018 GT from them.

So does anyone know if the line has been QA cleared for retail orders yet / "Ok to Order"?
