2018 Mustang GT, Oil Filter (Manual Trans)

I don't go drag race or anything.. just a daily driver..

Searched from Amazon, and below filters fits to my car.

Option#1. Motorcraft FL-500S Oil Filter $6
Option#2. WIX Filters - 57502 Spin-On Lube Filter $8

Which one do you guys recommend? It said they both fits, but has (2) different sizes.

How often do you get your oil replaced BTW?

Not racing just means you can go longer between changes. If you follow the manual for tracking you chance before to a heavier weight and after.

Otherwise just follow the oil life monitor in the car. It monitors driving conditions and measures in % oil life vs. just distance or time. It gave me 7,000 miles on my last change. Probably because I frequently hit 7,500 RPM merging onto I-95. But in reality I run full synthetic so I'd have probably been okay going to 10,000 miles. The filters usually need replacing before a good full synthetic oil would.

I just usually use a Mobile 1 filter with Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and a shot of Liqui Moly Ceratec. WIX are good too. Anything with a 10,000+ mile rating should do. Avoid anything like a cheaper Fram.

Most real racing filters aren't designed for high mileage. It's just a different application.

I went with Amsoil signature oils in all 3 of my S550's and wouldn't do it any other way. Amsoil filter for our cars is EA017 off the top of my head and is what I'm running on my 18 GT.
