What else would I need beside the nitrous express plate system for my 2018 gt to run without any problems?

If you're serious about doing a nitrous system right and having all the proper safety stuff, gauges, and controllers you're going to have some real money wrapped in a system before you even get to tuning. My vote would be just to save your money for a boosted set up so you have the power all the time and it's a safer bet.

To directly answer your question:

Nitrous kit itself (plate is best)

Window switch to allow the system to activate in a given RPM range only - the rule of thumb is no nitrous under 3k RPM and shut it off a few hundred RPM before the rev limiter.

Wide open throttle (WOT) switch to prevent the system from activating before wide open throttle is achieved.

Nitrous specific tune. Do not cheap out on this.. it’s the difference between a successful kit and blowing your motor. Timing is critical for nitrous and too much advance is a good way to kiss your engine goodbye.

Now - personal opinion and firsthand experience. Don’t take this the wrong way, but if you’re asking, you aren’t ready for a nitrous car.

While you “can” safely run nitrous, it’s extremely rough on the entire drivetrain and is the least forgiving power adder. The shock of the hit is tough on the engine, trans and rear end. The threshold for mistakes is extremely small. A nitrous backfire, stuck solenoid, etc can mean catastrophic engine failure.

My personal opinion is you will be similar in cost PROPERLY building a nitrous kit versus buying a used supercharger or turbo setup. Resale on a nitrous car will also be wonky at best and you can 100% forget any warranty repair remotely tied to the drivetrain.

I ran nitrous for 2-3 years on my old GT and it killed my clutch and rear end. It was a lot of fun and I never had an engine issue, but I was fortunate and very cautious. I tuned it to run safely on nitrous at the expense of power off the bottle.

I have run lots of nitrous before i started racing. You need a basic plate system fogger nozzles, hobb switch on fuel pressure to make sure no does not come on without fuel. Fuel is always set on rich side to prevent detonation. There are safe ways to get 100hp or so and there are ways to maximize hp with increased risk.
