So I've read that only the new 2018+ GT350 steering wheels can only fit on the 2018+ GT models. However, on some websites I have read that some GT350 steering wheels fit the 2015-2019 GT models. Does anyone know if this is true, or are the steering wheels two separate skews for the 2015-2017 and the 2018+? Thanks in advance for the replies!

Don’t believe those sites. 15-17 and 18+ have different part numbers. They are not interchangeable. The mounting tabs /spots inside are different as well as the mouthing for the airbags.

Just to follow up; I emailed CJ Pony Parts, I was told that the only differences are the wiring harnesses and in theory it should work. Though I have also head the same thing as El-Guapin said, that there are separate part numbers, and that will only work with the corresponding years.

I'm going to go into Ford tomorrow and talk to their parts department, if they have a return policy (or any extra information) I'll end up purchasing it, and I'll do a follow up post.

Zander13 on YouTube tried installing a 15-17 wheel on his 18 or 19 mustang and couldn’t do it...

Hey mpeychev,
If you may give me the part number you chose for the +18 models.
I am looking for the GT350R steering wheel in particular and Cjpony are not selling that part anymore (-_-)''
In case you got one, would you just advise me which website selling that online! thanx in advance :)

To install a GT350 or GT350R steering wheel in an 18+ GT, you will need the 18+ GT350 or GT350R wheel. You will have to swap out the switches from the GT to the GT350 or GT350R wheel. The trim will be a different color, so you can swap that too if you want. You will lose the heated steering wheel function if you had it previously. It's all a direct swap and can be done easily at home in less than an hour.

JR3Z-3600-CB is the 18+ GT350R steering wheel.
JR3Z-3600-AB is the 18+ GT350 steering wheel.

This is my 2019 GT with a GT350 steering wheel and GT trim. Definitely a worth while mod. Not only does it look great, but it feels so much better than the GT wheel. It's thicker, softer and has more grip to it.

Thanks for the input folks...

one last question, Is it possible to get this part installed on 2018 GT's ? FR3Z-3600-BD , as it comes without the trim covers and controls
:giggle:
it's less expensive and I want to reuse the OEM trims.

No, that's a steering wheel for a 15-17 and will not fit. You must use an 18+ wheel.

It's confusing when you search for the 2018 GT350R steering wheel and this number appears to be applicable for ALL GT350R's and that part in particular in every authorized Ford dealer can fit all models!
eg.
if it does fit all! why the full steering wheel can fit as well ! ? which is more expensive ?

I know it's confusing at times. There are others that have tried this before and they failed.
The actual part of the wheel that connects to the air bag and the wiring harness are different between 15-17 and 18+.
The air bags are not interchangeable either. Unfortunately it is this way:
15-17 car needs 15-17 steering wheel.
18+ car needs 18+ steering wheel.

I see what you're up to but why when you want to buy it part by part then the whole number changes into the previous models! while in fact you choose 2018 - 2019 GT350R parts, it's a twist for me but I guess it's my only option
Thanks for your feedback btw
