Well after watching the videos online how to replace the pony on the grill for 15-18 Mustang GT, I opened my hood, took off the radiator cover and it seems the 18s are a little different up front? I could not get a hand up behind the emblem because there is another grill type of thing in the way. Could not do it the way the video showed.

Anyways I just decided to write this post up to help anyone else that is doing the grill emblem on an 18. All i did was look at where the points were sticking out of the back of the new emblem and I drilled out the old one from the front of the car at the same spots, and pried it a little and it popped off. I had to grind down a little thing in the middle and then stuck the new one on. Done!

Whole thing took about 15 minutes. Now off to the sides which I thing will be just like the 15-17s.

Still trying to figure out how to do mine, since I got the OEM front emblem that needs to be installed from behind with the nuts. Will probably have to drop the bumper. This video makes it look possible, but it wasn't happening for me.

I could probably make this work except I have an extra cooler in front of my radiator that doesn't create any gap when trying this. I tried this when I realized there was no opening under my hood latch. I have yet to swap my pony as I don't want to take the bumper off, or at least not right now (may want a different grill one day). I also don't want to have the clips pop and fall down in there, my luck they are galvanized and will find their way up against the radiator and corrode.

Unless you plan to save the old one the easiest option is the drill from the front method and if you worry about the washers/retainers corroding stuff.. maybe you should just back away... slowly
