2017 Mustang Order Price

Hello all!

Long time reader, first time poster here.

I want to order a 2017 Mustang in the Dallas area next week. I would like to spec the car as follows:

• Mustang GT Premium Fastback
• Silver Ingot
• Manual Transmission
• Performance Package
• Red Premium Interior

I'd buy a 2016, but the red interior in combination with my other desired options seems to make this build somewhat of a unicorn.

The MSRP of the car (sans delivery) is $39,535. So far I've received two email offers: One for $37,100 and another for $37,600. I understand that 2017 prices will be higher than current 2016 prices, but these offers seem a little too high.

Folks that ordered 2017s: How much of a discount did you receive? Are my expectations unrealistic?

Folks that purchased a Mustang in the Dallas area: Where did you have a good experience? Where did you have a bad experience?

Where did you get the 2017 build specs, Ford site is 2016.

Ford dealer told me that they just finished assembly on '16's and the '17 orders are in. I would expect Ford to update their build site soon.

From what I found, my A plan discount only saves $4,000 off sticker or so, getting a dealer any lower than that would take some kind of desperate fire sale of old model years.

Dealer Invoice (w/dely) for what you want is $38460.00

This early in the model year, I don't see any dealer selling for much less than invoice.

So if you can really get this 2017 for $37100 or $37600 that's a real good deal.

Ford dealer told me that they just finished assembly on '16's and the '17 orders are in. I would expect Ford to update their build site soon.

I just placed a 16 order and dyesha confirmed it at ford service. My dealer also told me I would have to order a 17 and I asked them to verify. They came back and told me I could in fact get a 16. The 6-8 week lead time versus many month was my decision factor.

If they can find what you're looking for in the inventory then you can get the 16, otherwise it'll be a 17

I managed $500 below invoice, which I think is pretty good for a 2017 order.

Today is a good day.
