2017 Mirrortap

I just got my hands on a '17 GT PP - the mirrortap I was using no problem on my '15 isn't even close to fitting. Shining a light into the harness, there doesn't seem to be a lot of room. Did Ford change the harness, or did I get an example with particularly tight tolerances?

i have the exacts same model, and mirror taps were huge, so i used dremel and filed down a lot, i probably cut them in less than half size, its very tight space in there.
