I saw what I think was a base, tech or track GT350 at the Palm Springs Ford dealership today, and it was $25k over. Crazy....had a used R and a new Focus RS for $50 grand plus.

Was there getting an oil change for my Boss. Walked upstairs and saw a White and Blue GT350, a Black R and the RS Focus. Told my wife, I would take the R and then the RS, and wouldn't want the White and Blue GT350 for free, unless it was a Track Pack car. All Wheel drive and 300 horsepower is a nice combo for the RS, but let's be real, it is a $37K car at best. How u like the rs ?
Fair enough. If he's selling GT350's at MSRP, I applaud him.Fwiw, I know the owner of a massive ford dealership. They've got multiple locations.
And I've heard him consistently say that he and his team go to great lengths to keep people happy. They spend a lot of money dedicating resources to it too. Apparently, to them, it's a pretty big deal.
Might want to rethink the RS. There have been reports of rear diff overheating and sending the car into FWD mode (disables rear diff). Fords still learning. :frusty:Was there getting an oil change for my Boss. Walked upstairs and saw a White and Blue GT350, a Black R and the RS Focus. Dealers here are doing same. Listed as MSRP, when you actually go into dealer, you see the $5-7k markup. I also got the 'other dealers in the bigger city down South are marking it up more.'Went to dealership today and they said it was for sale for $5000 over MSRP. I asked why the price on the internet and they said it was a mistake. I click on the link now and it is $5000 over (or maybe more). So they "fixed" it...
My perception at least in KC area is that these are not selling as well as they first did. Maybe the guys that wanted them and willing to pay over MSRP has or is reaching its limit, I guess time will tell.
Your assumptions are interesting. So, someone with multiple cars can't purchase another one? Very interesting.Well, considering his current stable I'll assume he was actually calling just to check pricing and not actually buy. I could be wrong, but with an R in the garage seems unlikely he was buying a 17 350. So maybe they wasted others time?
They were playing that games early on too on East Coast. They know a buyer would search (settings) cars for MSRP. If they listed them at 10-20 over, their car swould not get looks.Dealers here are doing same. Listed as MSRP, when you actually go into dealer, you see the $5-7k markup. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be. Snow season is coming anyways. Which may be a good time to buy.
Turn in your 2016 cars.... lolMSRP here in Denver....but dam it is still a huge payment....

Yes, I was interested in purchasing this car. In fact, the salesman I talked to said that they would sell at the listed price and I gave him my CC number to put a deposit down on the car.
A few hours later, I received several calls - first from the New Car Sales Manager, then from the GM. Both stating there was an error on the website, and that they would "do me a favor" by selling it to me at $1,000 over sticker.
...you know what happens when you assume...;)
In fact, he's not. And he was the reason I temporarily left Ford and sold my GT PP to get a Z51.Fair enough. If he's selling GT350's at MSRP, I applaud him.
