So I know you can use an 18/19' rear decklid on a 15-17..….but can the 15-17 decklids fit on an 18/19? Doesn't the 15-17 decklid have more clips in the top? Or am I wrong.

I think they are interchangeable.

So I just did this on my 19. Yes the 15-17 has more plastic tabs but I just broke them off. Very easy with a pair of pliers.

I had one minor issue where it appears one side of the deck lid has a larger gap on my right side than left. It’s difficult to notice unless you are looking for it but it was there. Other than that it fits fine and works well.

I can send some photos if it would help.

Thanks for the response. I figured I'd have to break off some of the tabs. Can you post some pictures of how the decklid looks on your 19? Thanks

100% a little later today when I’m home. As an FYI the car is filthy due to the Canadian winter so don’t judge me to harshly.

Much appreciated. No judgement here. My 19' is my daily, and it's rained almost everyday here in South Carolina.

Sorry for the delay. Photos attached. Not sure if the spacing issue will show up on camera. Let me know if it looks off to you.

Thanks for the pics! I can see the gap you're talking about, but it isn't bad at all. You weren't kidding about the dirty car! Still looks great though. I'm going to install the 17 decklid on my 19 today after work. We'll see if I get the same gap that you have on the passenger side

Let me know how it goes. I have no idea why the gap on the right is like that. It bothers me sometimes but I wonder if most people will notice. The holes line up so I’m not sure. I also measured the piece and it’s the correct width. No idea.

That gap can be mitigated by loosening/tightening your tail lights and re-positioning the trunk latch.

Might give that a go when it is a little nicer outside. Thanks for the suggestion. The way it is now works with the 18-19 trunk lid perfectly if I swapped it back.

Yeah, I bought 18+ euro tails for my 16 and the gaps were all messed up. My trunk was already misaligned (left gap was huge/right gap was tiny) from trunk to quarter panel and I tried adjusting my trunk latch. Turns out it doing that also affects the gap between the decklid and the tail lights so that helped get things more aligned together.

I have been thinking about the euro tail lights from VLAND. How do you like them? Might just live with the gap now and deal with the re-alignment if and when I get those euros.

I love the Euros. If you didn't know they were made by Vland, you would thin they are an OEM part from ford.

The different modes are cool too.

They were pricey when they came out, and that dude on instagram actually charged way more than what vland charged (to make profit, understandably. He quoted me $800 or something like that) but it appears they are going for around $450 now.
