Look you and I don't agree on about 95% of the stuff we talk about. And I know as of yet it's not my car. But that car is issued to me by that vin number. And I agree it's not legally mine. But my point is this. How would you like your new car that you're not getting any info on which maybe getting a motor swap and seat belt etc. who knows what conditions it may arrive in. I don't want a car that I'm buying to of already had the engine pulled by a outside factory line. I don't care who is doing it. I have that right. What I don't have is another choice of a car that I had a very hard time getting my hands on. As I said before, if it was a mustang gt I could just cancel my order and find another one. But I'm either going to have to wait and see if I can accept this one at my pickiness or pass on it. And if I pass on it then I guess I lose out on something I've been waiting years for. So I'm sorry if you don't see my gripe or my bitching. Also I have no idea what they are doing to it and if it was something like an engine repair then yes I would pass on it right now and move on and try to find another one else where. Imagine you just bought a brand new house and how happy you and your family are. And let's say for example you just found out that it has burnt wall studs. Would you still accept it on a brand new house even though you can't see it behind the dry wall? Well my friend I wouldn't. And I would be pretty pissed if I found out about it. I'm not happy not knowing what is going on. I have a idea. Why don't you give me your car that you have coming and you can accept mine when it comes in. After all I've been waiting longer then you. How's that sound. Maybe my car will turn into a lemon. Then what do I get? I'm paying a lot of money for this car just like everyone else. This is fords most sought after and most expensive mustang. I don't like the hide and seek game. Give me the option now to know why it's just sitting where ever and why and let me the buyer decide if I want to continue to wait. It's not factory fresh if it's already being tore apart.
With all due respect and based on your recent postings I suggest that no matter what condition your GT350 arrives in you will find fault with your Shelby GT350 and with the Ford Motor Company.

As we all know our Shelby GT350 cars are mass produced and are not hand built cars such as many of the Italian exotics therefore there are going to be some flaws with these cars.

It is very unfortunate that you have gotten yourself all fired up over what should be a very positive event.

Purchasing one of these outstanding vehicles should be an exciting opportunity for you, your family and your car buddies to celebrate owning one of these outstanding vehicles but the direction that you are taking is anything but that based on your attitude.

There are many Mustang enthusiasts on this forum that are in the same position as yourself but the big difference between most of us and yourself is not only our attitude but a trust that Ford is not holding back these cars intentionally but in fact are making our cars right prior to leaving Flat Rock.

Unless you have a complete turnaround in your attitude and trust towards the Ford Motor Company and the steps that they are taking in order to make these cars right upon arrival at our respective dealerships I suggest that you walk away from your car.

Good luck with your decision going forward and Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm not expecting a hand built car. All I have been asking for is a answer. Why is it so hard to understand this? I'm not complaining on just my behalf. It's funny how many of you were fired up last week when I went to flat rock and took those pics. I know that when my car comes in that I'll be happy and excited just like many of you. But it's pretty disappointing to hear all the times when your car was scheduled to ship out then told it was returned back to the plant and then told that they can't find it and not knowing when it'll be released. Don't any of you tell me that you wouldn't be put down by this. You or ford can't say they don't know what the problem. Someone knows. Someone has the answers. That's all I asked ford is can you tell me what the delay is. That's not a hard question to answer. All I hear from them is its awating shipment. That's the same answer for 5 weeks now. Then tell me why it's awaiting shipment and when I only live 20 miles away. It's more to it then that and that is what I'm asking. Everyone of you guys would want to know the same damn thing. I could see if I lived miles and miles away hearing them say it's awaiting shipment. But for nobody including my dealer not to know is a little off. If it's getting a seat belt fine. A wire harness fine. Then just say it. What's the shame of a recall or a catch problem before it leaves the plant. That's my bitch. I want my car just like everyone else. I'm excited and want to enjoy it like everyone else. Excuse me for my overwhelming attitude but I would like to have it for the same reasons as all of you. If it's gonna sit for 2 more months then tell me! Don't just say its awaiting shipment when it probably is something else. It doesn't take 5 weeks to release a car that was built and ready to go. I just want a honest answer.

I wrote ford a email on Thursday and I just now received a return email. According to a Ford motor co customer relationship representative. She says that my vin number is not in the system as of now, but she does see where it was built on 10-20-15. Then it left the plant on 11-4 and returned on 11-5. But when she does a vin search now it shows a "loss in system" and according to her, this is something she's never ran across. She also said that for the vehicle to leave the plant and then return is something she's never seen. And then tells me to contact my dealer and they should have a better answer. Same old song and dance. If my dealer knew anything they would tell me and he's already said I know more about it then they do. Oh well.

I think Voodoo has many good points. I have worked in corporate America close to 40 years and find it ironic that at a time when the word "transparency" has become the buzz word of business (and politics to for that matter), there is, in actuality, less "transparency" than ever. Like many of the business buzz words that I have seen come and go in 40 years, the "word itself" sounds grand, but the actuality of backing it up may or may not ever happen. And before anyone tells me how honest, customer oriented, and forthright companies are these days, a quick look at Volkswagon, the largest auto manufacturer in the world, might be in order. They not only knowingly deceived the people purchasing their diesels, but did it to the point of bragging about their "clean air diesels" - the exact opposite of what was the truth. Anyone who thinks that the bottom dollar isn't more important to most companies that their "customer satisfaction" these days, is simply fooling themselves. So, "transparency" is great these days, as long as there isn't any chance that being "transparent" won't cost us a nickel on the "bottom line". And this is the only reason I can think of why Ford isn't being more transparent?

Voodoo...honestly you have done a lot of recon and a lot of writing. Time to put that to use. The power of persuasion in writing to the right people including the management at the dealership and the threat of bad media exposure will get them to knock off some money for you on the whole situation. I agree your situation is BS. Me, quite honestly, I hope mines not built for another year so I have lots of time to hoard money, but I do know that this car has had its fair share of problems in the plant. I'm not at liberty to say, but I'm glad mine has not been built yet for those reasons.

Thank you.
And I agree with you. I have been on the automotive business for nearly 26 years and I'm not saying ford is pulling a VW scam. Put I completely know where you're coming from. All I want is a honest answer. My car can't be in the system one day and completely wiped off the grid the very next day. I mean it can but at least tell me why and what's going on. That's all I ask.

My car has been sitting at flat rock plant finished for 6 weeks. If I don't have it by thanksgiving I'm getting my money back and buying something else. Today I'm driving to flat rock after work to scope out the area and I'll try to post pictures. It's snowing here today so I'm not sure how good the pics will be. If not today I'll go there tomorrow. I refuse to wait any longer. It's pointless now to take delivery of my car when some people that have a later build date and they already took delivery. I call ford daily and they can't answer anything. I give up. If I would of wanted a 526 hp snowmobile I would of bought one. Thanks again Ford!
Ooooops...Voodoo, I just read this post!! So today's the day!! Did you cancel your order?????

I'm not wanting anything from anybody. My dealer isn't at fault. I'm not blaming anyone. All I want to know is what is going on.

Luv ya man. Thanks for the pics and such. As for your car, like I said under several other threads that you have said this under: We get it. :)

If Ford is looking at your pics, your VIN might just disappear. Or maybe it just did. Kidding man.

But in all seriousness there are others in the same boat as you. Orders placed before yours and no cars. If you post the same information under numerous threads, people just get a little well you know.

Keep the faith

I don't want to cancel my order. I truly do want this car in a bad way just like everyone else. But just like someone else posted on another thread. If I'm not happy with the finished product when it comes then I will walk away from the deal. But the only thing that concerns me is, future problems that could arise. I'm not saying anythIng will. But we all seen cars have issues and become lemons. Then what? How is it likely that someone could get a replacement. I know I think a lot but a idle mind is the devils playground.

You're right I'm sorry. But it's not a complaint about just mine. It's about all of us that are in the same boat. Something needs to be said on their behalf and we all know that ford knows what that problem is. So then just tell us. I have no problem being told that our cars are being held up for repairs. Then be honest and say it. Don't blame it on shipping. It's not awating shipping because they can't find a transportation driver. It's something else more serious. That's all.

I think that auto dealerships take a lot of verbal abuse (and sometimes, it's probably deserved). However, in this particular case, I don't think the dealerships have much more, if any more, knowledge than the public. And I think their regional reps don't know much either. I think that that truth and facts of what is and has happened with the GT350's is kept secret at a much higher level than the dealerships. Senior management of corporate America .
