Hey y'all

I want to put quad tips on my car but my rear bumper is all one piece and doesn't have a diffuser/valence part. Will I have to buy a new bumper that can accept a valence? It's kinda of frustrating but definitely an easy fix if I can figure out what to buy.

Thoughts?

yeah you need a gt premium rear bumper and a valence. alot of vendors sell the valence, its gunna be a pricey swap.. i love the look but i cant justify spending upwards of 2k for it ..

You need a premium bumper and either an aftermarket quad rear valance (roush?) or oem GT350. The cheapest would be around $900 ($400 oem premium bumper, $200 Roush quad valance, $300 paint).

There are a couple of threads about swapping a premium bumper to a base model, as I am one of those that actually did the conversion, although I kept my single tips and also installed an RTR diffuser, a few also swapped to a premium bumper and went with the Roush rear valance conversion to use quad tips. Unfortunately with a base model mustang bumper your SOL.

I know Terminated just installed this on his Premium and it looks incredible. I might be mistaken but from what this is saying this kit should also fit the Base GT. Might be worth shooting an email over to double check but I would go this route for quads.

That kit is an entirely new bumper with the 350 style valance. So, I guess that would technically fit a base car :p
Not sure if it actually comes with those tips or not... although they don't look that great, IMO

That kit looks amazing, but I have the reverse sensors so that kit wont work... which blows.

All it is, is a circle. The inside of the bumper is marked, so your or your bodyshop/painter would just bore out the 19mm(could be 21mm, can't remember) from the inside before paint. That's how OEM Ford(and most others like BMW, Mercedes, etc) bumpers are as well.

If you search "Base bumper rear diffuser fin upgrade" in this subforum you can see more pics from a few of us that did the quad tips.

Geez... that blows
check your local ford...mine actually sold me the premium rear bumper w/ rear park sensor holes for $370 with a $75 core exchange. the roush valance covers up the holes if you have no rear sensors. no freight charges.

I'll call around and see what dealerships are saying. Which dealership exactly did you get it from? I may just order one from them.
